Today we arrived at the destination that I have most been looking forward to. The Gayana Eco Resort certainly does not disappoint. Only a ten minute ferry ride away from KK, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
We are staying in a jungle view room in Rimba village. As I am told that we need to practise saving, I booked an entry level room. Generally I am not a fan of entry level, but here I really don’t mind. In fact, I really quite like having the water view at the front and the jungle view out the back. So far we have been lucky enough to spot a monitor sunning itself on the sand outside our bungalow and a monkey on our deck.
Our first afternoon was spent sunning ourselves beside the glorious infinity pool, with a view out to the South China Sea. A Mojito was my refreshment of choice and Paul opted for the Tiger beer bucket (not as bad a it sounds – simply 3 bottles in an ice bucket).
Now I find myself in the raised pavilion style ‘Latitude Bar’, sipping a cocktail as the sun sets and listening to the gentle waves crash beneath. Our only care here at the moment is to decide which restaurant to dine at….More on that later 🙂
Sounds great at the resort! Photos are beautiful. Don’t get too close to that monkey on your deck though – rabies!
I agree with Fiona. But the accommodation kooks fantastic 🙂
