Tonight we were lucky to have dinner cooked for us by a friend. The dessert that he chose to serve was perfect for a balmy summer evening. The Luke Mangan recipe had been adapted slightly, whereby it was made into one large pudding instead of individual portions. The balance of flavours was just right; not too sweet and with a little bit of tang from the berries. The crème fraîche was also a well chosen accompaniment to help cut the sweetness.
