A Melbourne Sunday

Before leaving Melbourne today, I decided that I needed a little bit of time in the city first. I didn’t really plan to shop, but I am pleased with my little spend up.

On our way through the mall, we stopped by the Myer city department store to view it’s annual Christmas window. Not having children of our own just yet, we were able to view it from afar and rather more quickly than those with prams in tow.

Feeling like my ‘getting ready for Christmas switch’ was just turned on, it was then time for a little caffeine hit. The sensory lab at the back of David Jones on little Collins Street is my top choice for a perfect cafe latte.

Next, Paul followed me up to my favourite shoe store, Luisa. Two pairs of shoes later, I decided to go back to Made in Milan next door to try on the white Versace jeans that I had been eying off earlier. When the jeans fit, they became a purchase that was easy to justify – reduced and they will work well my new cork wedges!

My other pair of heels – hoping to wear these soon!

After my little shop, we were able to secure a table for two for a late lunch at one of our favourite restaurants – Hu Tong Dumpling Bar. As always, it was very satisfying. We had a selection of our usual preferences:

Chilli wantons

Home now and it is definitely time to get to bed so that I can wake up feeling fresh for the new working week 🙂
